Terms And Conditions

Daddy Electrician Terms and Conditions (effective from 03.03.2022)

These terms and conditions cover our supply of goods and services to you.

1. What we will do

1.1 We will give you an estimate in writing before we commence the work that you have requested. All our work will comply with current regulations at the time the work is done and you will be provided with a certificate to confirm this. The certificate issued will only cover the work that Daddy Electrician has undertaken and will be voided if the work supplied by Daddy Electrician is interfered with, altered or adjusted by any third party. Where Daddy Electrician has been commissioned to adapt, alter or add to existing electrical circuits it will be done on the assumption that the existing wiring has been installed correctly and is in adequate condition before Daddy Electrician commences work.

2. What you must do

2.1 You must ensure that any information that you provide to us is accurate and complete because we shall rely on your declarations as being accurate when supplying our services. 2.2 You must reply to our quote if you wish to proceed to state if you wish to go ahead. This will be an acceptance of our terms and conditions as well as the price or estimate we have quoted. ‍ 2.3 Please, ensure we have full access to the fuse board or consumer unit as well as any areas that we have requested to be made accessible for the electrical work to proceed. 2.4 If using a pre-paid meter, please ensure there is enough credit to perform testing on the existing and new wiring. 2.5 Whilst carrying out work at your premise it will be necessary for Daddy Electrician to turn off the electricity. Please inform us before we commence work if there are any areas where the electricity can not be turned off for any reason.

3. Payment

3.1 Where possible we will issue a fixed price for the job that you have requested, this fixed price will be based on the assumption that the job can be carried out straightforwardly and that we will not find any underlying problems that were not visible at the time the quote was issued. If it is impossible to give a fixed price we will offer an estimate that may be subject to change should unforeseen issues arise. You will be advised if the estimate changes in such a situation. Should you at this point decide not to proceed with the updated quote then we shall cease work and only ask that you pay for the time and work that has been carried out to that point as per our website pricing. 3.2 Please be aware that to quote and or estimate we provide will only cover the work that has been discussed and agreed upon. Should you add or change the scope of the work these additions or amendments will incur additional costs that will be added to the original quote or estimate. 3.3 Our pricing will be based on continuous and unrestricted access to the premises. If we are denied access to the premises through no fault of our own a charge will be made for the loss of our time. 3.4 If you need to change or cancel the agreed date the work is due to commence we require 48hrs notice or a small charge will be made of £100 for loss of our time. 3.5 The estimate or quote we provide will be valid at the time of issue. If electrical legislation changes the requirements of the job then the quote for the work will also change accordingly and we will notify you of this in advance of work commencing. 3.6 Payments are subject to VAT and should be made directly to Daddy Electrician LTD on the day the work is completed unless otherwise agreed by Daddy Electrician in writing beforehand. 3.7 Where projects require multiple visits over an extended period then stage payments should be made at agreed intervals during this time which will typically be every 3 days unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand. If there is a failure to meet the interval payments then work on the project will cease until outstanding payments are received. 3.8 Payments can be made in cash or by bank transfer. We do not accept cheques. 3.9 In the event of failure to pay then, Daddy Electrician will instruct a third-party debt collection agency to proceed with a debt recovery process, which will incur additional fees, interest and potential legal action.
